Process Mapping - Education
Foolproof Process Mapping
Mapit Designer is used for process mapping by the Contact Center team in the Resourcing Division of the New Zealand Ministry of Education.
The Center uses Mapit Designer to model and document complex processes around funding applications. Customer support representatives then use the Mapit scripts and process maps to help users work their way through the funding applications.
The team use Mapit’s drag and drop user interface for the process mapping. The use of multiple choice questions within the Mapit script is crucial to recreating the complex scenarios users and CSRs face with the funding applications.
Policy driven processes such as funding applications are broken down in to steps that simplify complex issues and ensure the right outcomes.
Further uses for Mapit Desiger scripts include validating or even replicating existing legacy systems with difficult user interfaces. Existing legacy systems need not be redeveloped but can be process mapped and replicated online with appropriate data capture where required.
