Process Mapping Software
Simplify Complex Processes
Process maps have always been displayed visually - different shapes for different processes - one- and two-way arrows, feedback loops and more. When finished the process map is often printed out on a large sheet of paper and stuck on the wall.
This is great for a small office but doesn't work so well in the internet age.
Mapit Designer creates interactive process maps that can be used by anyone with a browser. As opposed to graphical representation the process is mapped using a clever question and answer interface simplifying the choices for the user and reducing the chance of confusion.
Questions may be answered with a single answer only or multiple answers. Depending on the answers given the user can be sent in the correct direction to the next appropriate section of the process. (Click here to See How Mapit Works)
Help can be offered - as extensively as required - and graphics loaded into the map for further illustration of the information.
Get to the Right Answer
By allowing your Subject Matter Experts design the process map you are freeing them up from endless, non-productive questions whilst empowering your users (staff, stakeholders, customers) to self-help themselves to the correct answer.
While Mapit Designer is a simple system to use, quite complex logic can be applied to the mapping process. This logic is hidden from the user who merely needs to answer questions to work their way to their answer.
Mapit Designer can produce scripts that capture information and then export that information to another application for analysis or response. Another excellent use of the software is to provide a mentoring map of a process that guides users through a series of steps to ensure compliance with the process.
The New Zealand Ministry of Education uses Mapit Designer to produce this outcome.
