When you develop a page in Mapit Designer, the standard procedure is to create the Page, ask a Question - maybe offer some assistance in the form of Notes - and the suggest some Answers to the Question.
Mapit allows three different kinds of answers to be prescribed - Radio Buttons, Checkboxes and Text Boxes.
As their name suggests Text Boxes allow for free form text response to a Question. These text answers can be collated for further analysis but the Answer itself does not create the conditions to call a new page. So if you wish to collect text based information as the answer to a question, suggest the user click Next when they have completed their answer.
Radio Buttons are designed to denote a single choice. A user can only choose one option of those presented. Note that you need to have at least two Radio Buttons in an answer for the application to accept the logic.
Checkboxes are used when you give a range of options (again there should be more than one) and users are able to choose one or more of these options.
The power of Mapit Designer is in the decision logic - or what happens once these choices have been made. Choose Option A and you will be sent to Page A when you click the Next button. Click Option B and you will be sent to Page B. Click A+B however and you will be sent to Page C.
