Mapit is a simple drag-and-drop software tool which facilitates the construction of complex decision logic in HTML format. The end-users are presented with clean, clear web pages that show questions and gather answers. The navigation is setup through simple visual techniques such as dragging an arrow from page to page in the designer.

Using the HTML Editor
HTML Editor

A lot of the feedback we received from users of the last version of Mapit Designer asked for increased functionality in the appearance of the Mapit scripts.

In Version 3.0 we have included an HTML editor that gives you most of the functionality you would expect from a "basic" editing package. That includes font functionality (bold, italic, change font), bullet points and numbering, tables and the ability to add images.

This should be enough to prepare scripts that are more user friendly and use images to help in your overall aim to create simplicity from complexity.

As many who know HTML understand the simplest way to combine text and graphics is through using a table. So it is with Mapit Designer.

The Table function allows you to create rows and columns, and you can then edit the table using Mapit's WYSIWYG capacity. That allows a preview of how the text and the graphics interact - even before you test by using the Preview function of Mapit.

Graphics can be scaled by clicking and dragging - but it is even better to use your graphics program to create the correct size image before you insert it into the Mapit script.

Not using the table function means that your text and graphics will not look totally coherent and will reduce the impact of the script.
